Wedding Maps by Amy - 6/23/2014
In the 20 years we've been in business, I have steadfastly refused to make one kind of map; the wedding map. It's not that I have anything against weddings, it's just that the typical wedding map that goes in an engraved invitation is not really a map at all. It's a little bit of graphic art that roughly describes the location of the church or reception. It has some landmarks shown that are likely not to scale or geographically correct. So why would be suddenly start making wedding maps?
The wedding map that Amy created is not going in the invitation. It's to be used as a comemorative map to show the far-flung place from which the guests have come or honeymoon destinations. It doesn't hurt that Amy's actually a graphic artist by training. So it's visually appealling and accurate as a map.
